ALKE - MATERIAL AS TRANSFORMATION

At ALKE, material is never neutral. It carries history, use, and consequence.

Working with recycled brass and discarded plastics, the practice transforms what has been overlooked into jewellery that is both tactile and symbolic. The process is not about erasing origin, but about reworking it, allowing the past life of a material to remain present within the object.

Founded by Sara Nazoor, ALKE operates within a wider ecosystem of making. Artisans are not anonymous; they are visible, recognised, and paid fairly. Craft becomes not only a method of production, but a structure of value.

Here, jewellery sits at the intersection of adornment and responsibility, where beauty is inseparable from the systems that produce it.
