LAFAANI - DESIGNING FOR LONGEVITY

Lafaani is built on the idea that garments should endure.

Working with handwoven textiles, natural dyes, and embroidery, the practice prioritises adaptability and longevity over seasonal change. Pieces are designed to evolve with the wearer; to be worn, altered, and retained over time.

This approach is informed by research into craft communities and environmental systems across India. Production is considered not just in terms of output, but in relation to land, labour, and lifecycle.

Rather than resisting time, Lafaani works with it, creating clothing that is intended to move through it.
