Future Drape is a mixed media exhibition that shines a light on Sari. The exhibition was curated by FSP Founder Mehala Ford and showed at the Friday Project pop-up concept store in 2018 in London.

The exhibition shows the most up to date ways to drape and style sari along with fashion photography of sari from leading South Asian fashion photographers.

A special feature within 'Future Drape' is ‘How-to Drape Films’ and ‘Independent Films’ from The Sari Series by Border & Fall, while the Future Drape focuses on the fashion-orientated curation of sari and drape.

Friday Sari Project (FSP) started as a personal blog by Mehala Ford exploring sari drape. With a desire to wear sari in casual daily style, Sri Lankan-born, British-bred Mehala embarked on a journey of discovery.

Future Drape is a permanent evolving exhibition within the FSP pop-up concept store and cann be booked as a touring exhibition.

Friday Sari Project offers the opportunity to explore identity, learn style sari, and to experiment with drape. Imagery collected from leading photographers and Instagram users offers fresh new ideas on sari style, and an insight into the women wearing them.
