It's not a wrap

I am going out with my cousins and I want to inspire them about saris and show them that there are ways of wearing a sari that looks cool. I've got my sari and I open up my new book and pick a wrap style to suit going out on a cold night in London. I love these beautiful detailed drawings and find all the styles very varied with lots of possibilities for styling if I can only just get started. I'm clearly imagining that I can just do a quick wrap and head off and its all going to look fabulous. About 10 attempts later and I still only have a bundle of fabric on the ground. This supposedly practical and beautiful garment (once worn) is feeling like the most frustratingly impractical idea I’ve come across for dress and no where near looks good. It's a disaster, what was I thinking! Quickly stash the idea and put on jeans, boots and coat. I'm going to need some help with this....
